Taita Hills Lodge
You enter the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary through the impressive Taita Hills Lodge. It is here that you check into all three lodges. The Taita Hills Lodge resembles a fortress and was built with sandbags of World War I cemented together to form the tall three-story ramparts. However, the rather stark outlines of the lodge are softened by dark green veils of creeper, and the walls enclose elegant public rooms leading to lawns, tropical gardens and a swimming pool.

Kenya & Tanzania Overview
Kenya
Most visitors to Kenya want to experience the country’s world famous wildlife. But there are many different ways to experience the Kenyan wilderness. Whether you want to drive by a pride of lions in a four wheel drive, walk through herds of plains game, watch a herd of elephants from the comfortable veranda of a safari lodge, track game on horseback or search for rare birds in a thick rainforest, the possibilities are endless.
Tanzania
Tanzania hosts three of the world's most spectacular sights… Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world, and the highest in Africa at 5895m asl; Ngorongoro Crater, one of the natural wonders of the world, and the Serengeti, scene of the annual migration of over a million wildebeest and their attendant predators. If these aren't enough to whet your appetite, relax under blue skies on the islands of Zanzibar, Mafia or Pemba; or travel southwards to the largest game reserve in Africa - the Selous - named after the famous explorer/hunter.
