It's a beautiful destination ... combining the peace and serenity of exquisite accommodation amongst vineyards with an award winning winery and a 18-hole championship golf course.
Ideally situated a mere 20 minutes from the centre of Cape Town.
Accommodation at Steenberg has 5 Star Hotel status. 30 en-suite rooms and the hotel buildings (1682)
with the Manor House, Jonkershuis and the Barn have been declared a National Monument,
lovingly restored and decorated traditionally with antiques in the elegant styling of 17th Century...
a gracious combination of old world charm and modern conveniences.
Premier rooms are modern with
open plan spaces and feature romantic patios with vineyard or golf course views.
Art "Snow white" by Berni Searle is displayed in the Spa at Steenberg. This series of eight images is based on
video work produced by the artist in 2001. In these images, the artist is gradually covered with cake flour, which she dusts
off to form a pile, eventually mixing it with water to form dough. These 8 images have been produced in an edition of 3.
The second edition is available for sale as a complete series, while there are a few remaining prints in the third edition.
Golf A championship 18-hole golf course designed by Peter Matkovitch surrounds the hotel.
Special green fee rates are extended to hotel guests. The course was designed to make full use of natural features and hazards.
Its environmental diversity gives the course its unique character.
In addition, the Cape boasts a number of other championship
golf courses situated in close proximity to the hotel making Steenberg Hotel a worthy and sought after golfing destination.
