Hacklewood Hill Country House built in 1898, is a Victorian Manor House set in peaceful and exclusive surroundings in the leafy suburb of Walmer. With distinctive decor and fine attention to detail, the comfort of the eight, individually decorated, en-suite bedrooms is delightfully enhanced by air-conditioning and heating. The large Victorian bathrooms are a particular feature which unquestionably add to the distinction of this home, these include separate showers and heated towel rails.

The beautifully appointed Dining Room offers exceptional full English Country breakfasts and exquisite evening menus. Delectable light lunches are also available on request. Nestling in the leafy suburb of Walmer, the fully serviced Garden House and Garden Cottage offer luxurious accommodation in the form of a two bedroomed house and a one bedroomed cottage, for long or short stays in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth. Both the Garden House and Cottage also offer self catering facilities as well as security and privacy.

The authentic wine cellar beneath the house is home to an impressive selection of wines, and guests are invited to select a vintage to compliment their meal.

In the Morning Lounge a variety of books and games create the ideal setting for relaxed conversation or after dinner drinks around the fireplace. The Gallery, leading off the magnificent yellow-wood staircase, on the first floor, is filled with a fine collection of original paintings and features a beautiful sky-light completed in stained glass. In the interest of the privacy of our guests we regret that no visitors will be admitted without prior arrangement. Regrettably no children under 16 years of age allowed.
