BUSH AND BEACH COMBO TOURKRUGER NATIONAL PARK / DUGONG BEACH LODGE DAY 1: Leave Johannesburg behind you as you board SA AIRLINK for your flight to Palaborwa Airport. On arrival you are met by a representative and transferred to Jackalberry Lodge for overnight. Check in at the Lodge, unpack and relax while you enjoy the understated luxury of Jackalberry Lodge situated in the Thornybush Private Game Reserve Early evening game drive in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles with armed experienced rangers in search of the Big Five - 3 hours Return to lodge Dinner is served at the lodge 
OVERNIGHT: THORNYBUSH PRIVATE GAME RESERVE - JACKALBERRY LODGE or similar - FULL BOARD The towering Drakensberg Mountains provide a majestic backdrop for this 10 bedded rustic camp. Jackalberry is a 4 star luxury game lodge with spectacular views of the Drakensberg Mountain range. If you are looking for spectacular views, understated comfort and ethnic ambience that blends harmoniously with nature, Jackalberry is ideal. Relax by a crackling campfire after a hearty traditional bushveld dinner, and listen to the night sounds of Africa. The bush around the lodge teams with game and more than 250 different species of birds can be seen, a paradise for birdwatchers. From cool early-morning safaris to warm evenings under the stars, Thornybush Game Reserve offers a feast for your soul and your senses. Thornybush is adjacent Timbavati and the Kruger National Park and offers prime game-viewing territory, including the "Big Five" which roam the 11 500 ha of savannah. Rooms DAY 2 & 3: JACKALBERRY LODGE Breakfast Enjoy a morning game drive in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles in search of the Big Five More than sixty species of wildlife can be found in the immediate vicinity of the lodge, including lion, elephant and cheetah. Lunch is served at the lodge 
Relax during midday with new-found friends, before an afternoon Game drive. Return from your afternoon / early evening game drive to freshen up before dinner Dinner is served at the lodge OVERNIGHT: THORNYBUSH PRIVATE GAME RESERVE - JACKALBERRY LODGE or similar - FULL BOARD Back to topDAY 4: DUGONG LODGE - MOZAMBIQUE Breakfast Morning road transfer from Jackalberry lodge to Mpumalanga International airport, from where you will board your PELICAN AIR flight to Vilanculos Airport. On arrival at Vilanculos airport, guests are met by our representative. A short road transfer takes you to the beach where you board a boat for the transfer to Dugong Beach Lodge. These boat transfers can be adventurous and it is advisable that casual clothing, open shoes/sandals and a light wind-breaker are worn. At times, due to weather conditions, guests may get wet (rain suits are provided on the boat) and are required to remove footwear to gain access to the boat. OVERNIGHT: DUGONG BEACH LODGE - FULL BOARD This diverse eco-system of bush and wetland, with its powder white beaches and crystal clear water is host to a magnificent array of fish, dolphin and very importantly, the nearly extinct "Dugong". Shallow and deepwater reefs reveal beautiful creatures such as the green and leatherback turtles, sailfish, manta ray, to name a few. Big deep-sea game fishing of marlin and barracuda is truly spectacular and the large flocks of flamingoes and pelicans are a sight to behold. Dugong Lodge, perched right on the edge of the beach is an idyllic setting with ten luxury tents built on raised decks in the shade of Msasa Trees and Jecka grass canopies. The lounge and restaurant on raised Mahogany timber decks with a jetty jutting out into the protected Vilanculos Bay, afford one breath taking views of the ever-changing colours and hues of the water dotted with the white sails of ancient dhows. The Lodge: 10 luxuriously appointed chalets with en-suite bathroom and an outside shower. Bar and Lounge, restaurant specialising in seafood and local Portuguese cuisine. Boardwalk jetty with a gazebo at the end, a perfect setting for sundowners or private dinners. Swimming Pool and Marine sports centre. All bedrooms are equipped with Mosquito nets. The policy at Dugong Beach Lodge is to allow guests as much freedom regarding meal times. As there are no set times for meals, your day can begin as early or as late as you wish. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck overlooking the beach and jetty. Dinner may be served on the beach with the warm sand between your toes (subject to weather and tidal conditions) Pure relaxation is the order of the day. Picnic on a deserted island, enjoy leisurely walks on a perfect white sand beach with translucent waters or sip cocktails at the poolside or under a thatched canopy on the beach. For the more energetic, Dugong Beach Lodge offers snorkelling, salt-water fly-fishing, birding, kayaking, deep-sea fishing, windsurfing and sailing (hobie cat), as well as excursions to World's View - the highest point on the peninsula and picnics on Bangwe Island, just a short boat ride away OVERNIGHT: DUGONG BEACH LODGE - FULL BOARD Back to topDAY 7: MOZAMBIQUE - JOHANNESBURG Breakfast
Later, transfer by boat to Vilanculos harbour and thence to Vilanculos airport where you will board your PELICAN AIR flight to Johannesburg Extend your honeymoon with a visit to the beautiful City of Cape Town - please enquire about accommodation and sightseeing packages on offer END OF SERVICES Our itineraries are "recommended itineraries" and may be booked as suggested.
