Day 1 - Dugong beach lodge

1. Leave Johannesburg behind you as you board SA AIRLINK for your flight to Palaborwa Airport.
2. On arrival you are met by a representative and transferred to Jackalberry Lodge for overnight.
3. Check in at the Lodge, unpack and relax while you enjoy the understated luxury of Jackalberry Lodge situated in the Thornybush Private Game Reserve
4. Early evening game drive in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles with armed experienced rangers in search of the Big Five - 3 hours
5. Return to lodge
6. Dinner is served at the lodge .

Overnight: Thornybush Private Game Reserve - Jackalberry Lodge or similar - Full Board

DAY 2 & 3 - Jackalberry Lodge

1. Breakfast
2. Enjoy a morning game drive in open 4 x 4 safari vehicles in search of the Big Five
3. More than sixty species of wildlife can be found in the immediate vicinity of the lodge, including lion, elephant and cheetah.
4. Lunch is served at the lodge
5. Relax during midday with new-found friends, before an afternoon Game drive.
6. Return from your afternoon / early evening game drive to freshen up before dinner
7. Dinner is served at the lodge

Overnight: Thornybush Private Game Reserve - Jackalberry Lodge or similar - Full Board

DAY 4 - Dugong lodge - Mozambique

1. Breakfast
2. Morning road transfer from Jackalberry lodge to Mpumalanga International airport, from where you will board your PELICAN AIR flight to Vilanculos Airport.
3. On arrival at Vilanculos airport, guests are met by our representative. A short road transfer takes you to the beach where you board a boat for the transfer to Dugong Beach Lodge. These boat transfers can be adventurous and it is advisable that casual clothing, open shoes/sandals and a light wind-breaker are worn. At times, due to weather conditions, guests may get wet (rain suits are provided on the boat) and are required to remove footwear to gain access to the boat.

Overnight: Dugond Beach Lodge - Full Board

This diverse eco-system of bush and wetland, with its powder white beaches and crystal clear water is host to a magnificent array of fish, dolphin and very importantly, the nearly extinct "Dugong".

Shallow and deepwater reefs reveal beautiful creatures such as the green and leatherback turtles, sailfish, manta ray, to name a few. Big deep-sea game fishing of marlin and barracuda is truly spectacular and the large flocks of flamingoes and pelicans are a sight to behold. Dugong Lodge, perched right on the edge of the beach is an idyllic setting with ten luxury tents built on raised decks in the shade of Msasa Trees and Jecka grass canopies.

The lounge and restaurant on raised Mahogany timber decks with a jetty jutting out into the protected Vilanculos Bay, afford one breath taking views of the ever-changing colours and hues of the water dotted with the white sails of ancient dhows.
