Grande Roche Hotel
The character of Grande Roche Hotel comes from its exquisite setting - in a gracious Cape Dutch homestead,
on a working farm in the heart of the Cape Winelands, with the backdrop of Paarl Mountain and its distinctive
granite rock which gives the hotel its name.Courtesy stems from the combination of warmth, friendliness and
efficiency displayed by the cosmopolitan and highly skilled staff at Grande Roche.
It also shines through in the attention to detail.
Gourmet cuisine is the preserve of the award-winning executive chef Frank Zlomke and his team -
whether it's combining textures, flavours and quality ingredients for a special epicurean menu,
a tantalising vegetarian or low calorie dish, a stylish barbecue, or a Club sandwich.
To complement each course, there are also trained sommeliers to assist in the selection of wine
from the hotel's extensive wine list and cellar.
The charm of the place lies in the sheer magic of the surroundings at all hours:
jogging through the vineyards at sunrise … taking a refreshing
dip in the pools … walking in the cool, shady greenery of the lush gardens… enjoying sundowners
on the patios at sunset as twilight makes way for candlelit dinners - under the stars or under
the elegant crystal chandeliers of Bosman's Restaurant.
A haven of calm - Grande Roche offers birdsong and tinkling water fountains in tranquil surroundings
and a blend of historic architecture that is easy on the eye and an atmosphere that is soothing to the senses.
Even the staff go about their daily tasks in an unhurried way!
The Vineyard Venue Conference Centre with its adjoining open-air amphitheatre seating 350 is a versatile
venue that can be transformed to accommodate a variety of corporate and social functions, including weddings,
product or vehicle launches, demonstrations and auctions.
Some 200 square metres in area, it can be divided into three sections of equal size, with seating for 10 to
200 people, depending on the layout (U-shaped, banquet or cinema-style). There are also two syndicate rooms
