The Ark

The Ark is set in thick woodland in the heart of the Aberdare National Park and comprises 59 comfortable log cabin-style rooms with private facilities. Resembling and named after Noah’s Ark, there are numerous viewing decks, balconies and lounges from where to observe animal activity at the waterhole and salt lick. A ground level bunker provides excellent photographic opportunities and an incredible face to face experience with elephants. The lounge and bar are open around the clock for night-time wildlife observation. Most visitors stay just one night and see so much that they feel like they’ve been on safari for a week! Your main luggage is kept in storage at the Aberdares Country Club as only overnight bags are permitted at the Ark.
