Lake Elementaita Lodge
Lake Elementaita Lodge has been created around the original home of the English settler Galbraith Cole. Built in 1916, this typical colonial home is of red brick with an internal courtyard, panelled walls and a shady veranda. Now the main building houses a rather functional sitting and dining room, a bar and a small conference room.
Guest cottages have been built in the garden area behind the house. A large terrace with swimming pool looks toward Lake Elementaita. The lake is home to lesser flamingos and is a stop for migratory birds. Guests can go on guided bird watching walks and ox wagon safari’s. There is horse riding within the reserve.
