Mara Simba Camp
Built on the Talek River, this newest of the Mara Lodges has 36 guest rooms. Guests stay in
double story bandas built out of wood and stone. There are six rooms per banda and each has an en
suite shower and toilet and a private veranda facing over the river. The rooms are spacious and can easily
accommodate an extra bed.
The grounds of Mara Simba are a combination of natural vegetation and landscaped
gardens of indigenous plants. Well-lit pathways link guest rooms with the main lodge, which commands a view
over a bend in the river. The décor incorporates ethnic design elements from the Masai people.
There is a reception lounge, a guest lounge, a bar, dining area and a souvenir shop guests can relax on
the large open veranda fronting the lounge and ding room area, or cool off in the swimming pool.
Because of its position, Mara Simba is able to offer guided game walks and night drives outside of the Reserve.
A naturalist presents talks of wildlife and ecology of the Masai Mara.
