Ongava Game Lodge and Tented Camp

Ongava Game Lodge is situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park in the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve. Ongava is the ideal place from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha. Accommodation comprises 10 air-conditioned brick, rock and thatch chalets, each with en-suite facilities including a bath with a view, and a private patio. Meals are either served in the main dining area under thatch with a view over the camp's water hole - or on the dining deck under the stars. Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha where Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Gemsbok, Springbok, and Hartebeest can be seen at many of the water holes in the park. In addition, night drives, hides and walks with armed guides are enjoyed on the private reserve. Ongava has resident White and Black Rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the opportunity to see both species.

Ongava Tented Camp is a small six-roomed tented camp is built in a different sector of the reserve to Ongava Lodge. National Parks accommodation

Halali Resort

The third camp in Etosha is situated halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni at the foot of a small dolomite hill and is a fine modern camp, with bungalows (not serviced), a restaurant, shop, petrol pump and swimming pool. One of the attractions of this camp is the Tsumasa Trail which leads up a small dolomite hill close to the camp. A point at the top of the hill affords a view of the Moringa waterhole, which is floodlit at night.

Namatoni Resort

Situated at the eastern entrance to the park, the Namutoni rest camp centres around an old German fort dating back to 1903. Renovations in the early 1980's included the addition of a shop and restaurant complex and 24 accommodation units (not serviced), ensuring that the camp has all the necessary modern amenities. A floodlit waterhole next to the fort allows for comfortable game viewing at night.

Characterised by its thatched rondawels, Okaukuejo is Etosha's longest established and most popular rest camp. A floodlit waterhole provides guests with the opportunity of seeing game such as elephant and black rhino from relatively close by. Okaukuejo is the main administrative centre and headquarters of the Etosha Ecological Institute, where research and nature conservation management in Etosha are conducted
