Situated in the Lion Sands which is well known for good game viewing and with a far smaller concentration of lodges compared to the Northern and Western areas. Lion Sands River Lodges are decorated in an old African style with a sundeck and bar. Lion Sands River Lodge swimming pool is built with a zero - edge overlooking the river.

Lion Sands - River Lodge has 10km (6.21 miles) of Sabie River frontage with a high concentration of game around the river especially during the dry seasons. It provides a great diversity of general fauna and flora and affords unique activities based around the river, hides and fishing. Exclusive traversing is unique to Mala Mala, Londolozi, Singita and Lion Sands.

Lion Sands - River Lodge is situated in the greater Kruger National Park conservancy area, in the 65,000 hectare Sabi Sands Game Reserve. This is the only reserve to have access to the Sabie River system.
