Lion Sands South Camp is different to River Lodge in its exclusivity with only 6 luxury rooms as opposed to 14 at River Lodge. For the traveller who is looking for a more secluded and private experience, South Camp is the recommended camp.

Lion Sands Lodge Camp is situated in the Southern portion of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, well known for better game viewing and with a far smaller concentration of lodges compared to the Northern and Western areas.

Lion Sands South Camp shares borders with Mala Mala to the East, Sabi Sabi to North and West and Kruger National Park to the South and have 10km of Sabie River frontage with a high concentration of game around the river especially during the dry seasons. It provides a great diversity of general fauna and flora and affords unique activities based around the river, hides and fishing.
