Sweni Lodge
Lodge At Singita Private Game Reserve
Singita Lebombo, situated in an exclusive 15 000 hectare private concession on the remote eastern boundary
of Kruger National Park, has opened Sweni Lodge
Sweni Lodge comprises six shaded suites on the banks of the Sweni River.
While similar in architecture and design as the 15 elevated loft-style suites that
opened to international acclaim at Singita Lebombo in March 2003, the Sweni interior
lends itself to a more classic safari feel.
The lodge makes use of African artefacts,
pots, baskets, dark leather, khakis and greens, as opposed to the cliff side suites which are decorated in
white fabrics and pale interiors. Constructed almost entirely of glass, slatted wood and bleached woven branches,
the suites offer absolute exclusivity and privacy with a wooden game viewing deck and outside shower. Sweni
guests also enjoy their own dining room, wine cellar, swimming pool and boma.
The opening of Sweni Lodge coincides with the completion of another Singita innovation, the Lebombo Village.
Established in the organic, modernist style typical of Singita Lebombo, the village features a gym and health spa,
a gallery showcasing leading South African works, a wine boutique where guests can taste rare South African wines
and an interactive ranger centre.
Singita Lebombo is accessible by air within the Kruger National Park thereby offering guests a premier safari circuit when connecting Singita Lebombo with the Singita lodges in the Sabi Sand Reserve via daily flights. All Singita lodges are accessible both by road and air from Johannesburg. Singita Lebombo, Boulders and Ebony lodges are all members of Relais & Châteaux.
