Hlatikulu Bush Lodge
Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park - Accommodation
Elevated on a terrace overlooking the Black Imfolozi River, this bush lodge is situated in
the heart of the Imfolozi park and provides excellent opportunities for walks into a
part of Imfolozi that most people never see.
The lodge is situated in a well grown stand of umThombothi trees in a park like setting with
the grass grazed short by the resident group of white rhino. A dolorite dyke crosses the river below
the lodge creating an extended pool which is home to hippo and crocodiles.
Visitors needs are attended to by staff who cook and clean and a field ranger who,
on request, takes visitors on walks through the african bush.
Visitors must bring food for the meals they want and the drinks of their choice.
The cooks can produce a variety of tasty meals to suit the bush lodge life style.
Limited supplies of food and drink can be purchased at the shop at Mpila Camp
which is a half hours drive away.
Imfolozi is a malaria area so suitable precautions must be taken.
Each individual Bush Lodge or Bush Camp is available for booking by only
one party at a time, assuring visitors total privacy away from the hustle
and bustle of normal tourist life.

royal hunting ground of King Shaka, this rich tapestry of natural and cultural history still
beats with the rhythms of Africa.
Accommodation at the park consists of 3 reserves, each comprising of various luxury lodges
and camping and caravanning sites. The living area of each lodging is well equipped and overlooks
the wilderness, creating an authentic African experience.
Avid water sports enthusiasts will not be disappointed, as the park boasts with a wide range of water activities and an abundance of unspoiled nature trails surrounds the area.
