Zululand Tree Lodge is situated in the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve. Set in the cool, whispering tranquility of a fever tree forest, the Tree Lodge is a truly special retreat where you will be accommodated in luxurious stilted chalets.

Enjoy the quiet lounge, observation deck and a sunny pool area where you might be visited by a family of warthog, a shy red duiker or a pair of purple-crested loeries.

Each of our 24 luxury "Tree Lodges" include an en-suite bathroom, a kingsize double bed complete with insect nets, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a private balcony with enchanting views into the surrounding fever tree forest.

Ubizane Wildlife Reserve boasts a variety of game, including white rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, and most species of antelope.

You can view the game from the comfort of equipped game viewing land rovers, on foot for a more thrilling encounter or on horseback for a wonderfully unique experience.

Adjacent to Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is the renowned Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest in Africa where the big-5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) roam the bush.

There is plenty to see in the immediate vicinity of the reserve with game viewing being top of the list.

Daily excursions into Hluhluwe-Umfolozi offer guests the opportunity of viewing a wide assortment of African wildlife including the Big-5 whilst more intimate safaris in game vehicles, on foot or on horseback are offered in the Ubizane Reserve itself.

Meals are served in the Boma, an outdoor, covered dining area that overlooks the fever tree forest and water hole. At night log fires are lit creating an enchanting, romantic, African bush atmosphere. The pan-African cuisine offers a variety of dishes in buffet style.
