The award winning 11 000ha Entabeni Game Reserve is situated in the magnificent, malaria free Waterberg, a comfortable 3 hrs drive from Johannesburg - HOME OF THE BIG FIVE

At Entabeni the emphasis is on gaining an insight into the wonders of nature. Service here is of the utmost importance.

Our well-trained game rangers are able to supply you with a wealth of information regarding our fauna and flora, as well as history and geology.

Unique features of this area include spectacular scenery consisting of grasslands surrounded by mountains, a 1,5km long lake, a 2000ft escarpment, diverse wildlife and Big 5 game viewing.

Enjoy the experience of sundowners, picnics or bush-braais under African Skies. The natural rock formations and verdant bush are haven to 17 species of antelope, plus the Big Five, giraffe and warthog, to name but a few.

Facilities

The Entabeni Lodges' interior décor is excitingly different. The stylish combination of natural materials, rustic colors and animal prints within an ethnic inspired theme, blends harmoniously together with the natural surroundings. The vivid colors of hand-painted ornaments and originally framed artifacts create an inviting African ambience.

A choice of luxury accommodation is offered between Lakeside Lodge, Ravineside Lodge, Wildside Camp, Kingfisher Lodge, Earthsong Lodge & Eagle's Nest. Entabeni offers diverse scenery & wildlife including the Big Five.

Various dining venues including five restaurants & seven bomas, conference facilities, a cultural village with tribal dancing and a wellness/beauty centre are offered. Enjoy guided game drives/walks, horseback safaris and helicopter flights, for an experience "beyond comparison".

Activities

Game drives: We're using 4x4 Nissan Safaris. All vehicles have soft suspension, custom built seating and canvas roofs to facilitate game viewing in absolute comfort.

During rain or very cold weather the side panels can be dropped for more conveniences. Our well-trained game rangers are able to supply you with a wealth of information. Night drives also available on request.

Bush walks: A variety of walks can be arranged accompanied by our game rangers.

Bird watching: Can be done at leisure from your own sundeck at your lodge at the game viewing posts or during game drives.

Sunrise at Hanglip: Gather for coffee & rusks at the lapa-area before joining a game drive, followed by a lovely walk to witness our very own "God's Window". This is a must - not to be missed!

Conferencing

At Lakeside Lodge for up to 120 people, with three breakaway rooms. Fully-equipped with standard equipment.
