Agulhas Guest House
Nestled in an alcove known as 'spookdraai' (ghost corner) at the entrance to the southernmost town in Africa, lies Agulhas Guest House. Sue and Phil Fenwick welcome you to their guest house, which is built of stone and century-old oregon pine sash windows and doors. A unique fynbos indigenous garden with peaceful spots from which to bird watch offers a tranquil surround. The sea is a mere stone's throw away.
Each room has its own private balcony from which you can enjoy a breathtaking breaker view. Executive suites boast jacuzzi baths, luxury showers, double basins and bidets. All bedrooms are en suite, beautifully furnished with antiques, and are very spacious.
One of the major features of the guest house is the splendid cuisine created by owner Sue Fenwick, blending local and regional dishes. A full breakfast buffet is served to guests on one of the balconies or in the dining room overlooking the bay. Dinner is a splendid set menu which is varied daily.
Have a night-cap in the bar with its maritime/airforce theme (Lieutenant Colonel Phil Fenwick is an ex-South African Air Force helicopter pilot) or relax in the library in front of a log fire.
Whatever your choice, the ambience and the service will ensure your stay is a memorable one.
