ITINERARY
Day 1: Garden Route – Oudtshoorn
For those with limited time, explore the scenic beauty of the garden of the Garden Route at your leisure on one of our self drive packages to suit your budget.
Pick up your hire vehicle from George airport and drive to the picturesque little Karoo town of Oudsthoorn, the ostrich capital of the world. From here you are at an ideal location to explore its many attractions including the opportunity to visit various working and ostrich show farms.
Overnight at the delightful Rosenhof Country House [ 5 star ] or the quaint De Zeekoe Guest Farm [ 4 star ] - Bed & Breakfast
Rosenhof Country House is situated on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn en route to the Cango Caves and Ostrich Farms. The carefully renovated homestead (Circa 1852), with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and a tasteful collection of antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity.
The lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to stylishly decorated bedrooms, each individually furnished.
De Zeekoe Guest Farm - This owner managed African farm is over 2000 hectares and is part of the world's 17 "hotspots".
With 3 overlapping flower zones, De Zeekoe is well-known for the meerkat magic conservation project and visitors can take a walk with wild meerkats on the farm with meerkat expert, Grant Mcilrath.
Day 2 - 4 : Garden Route – Knysna
At your own leisure make your way to coastal town of Knysna, situated between lush forests and tranquil estuary, Knysna offers a wide variety of activities to all its travelers. Enjoy a lagoon trip to the majestic Featherbed Nature Reserve on the Knysna Heads, or just relax with a glass of bubbles and devour some locally cultivated Knysna oysters, while the calm waters of the lagoon gently lap against its banks.
Fill your day in Knysna with visits it to the Featherbed Eco Nature Reserve and the Knysna Elephant Park, where you have the opportunity to interact with the Elephants, or Monkeyland Primate Sancturay. Knysna offers a host of garden route activities for both the young and young at heart!

Day 7: Departure
