The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
The Lodge is located on the boundary of the
Zambezi National Park, some 5 minutes drive from The Falls. The design is a masterpiece of thatch and wood with intricate split-levels and indigenous trees giving the impression of a vast, open plan tree house. Each of the 72 air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms, has its own balcony, and these, together with the Bar, Restaurant, and Pool deck all overlook the waterhole.
The hotel is not ideally suited for those who may have difficulty negotiating steps.
A complimentary shuttle service operates between the Hotel and the centre of town.
The Boma – Place of eating
The Boma is not just another ethnic restaurant, it is a unique cultural experience. The sights and sounds of the evening are accentuated by Ndebele performers, who captivate with their vibrant and energetic song and dance. For those interested in the future, a witchdoctor is on hand to “throw the bones”
Additional Excursions
Additional activities may be added either by purchasing one of the three modules listed below or by buying individual excursions.
Chobe National Park
Located some 90 kilometers from the Victoria Falls, the park covers 11700 square kilometers of pristine wilderness. Vast endless landscapes, open plains, baobabs and ancient woodland dominate the panorama. The wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. The elephant population, estimated to number in excess of 35000, is the largest single concentration in Africa surviving within the confines of a proclaimed National Park. Other major species such as lion, square lipped rhino, wild dog, sable and roan antelope are encountered in many areas of the reserve.
Chobe Game Lodge:
Set on the banks of the Chobe River, this is the only lodge located within the confines of the National Park. Each of the 46 Moorish styled, en-suite rooms, is river facing with their own private terrace/balcony. All are fully air conditioned and come complete with complimentary stocked mini-bar. For the ultimate in luxury, the Lodge has 4 river view suites, each with their own private plunge pool and sundeck. A separate lounge area is another feature. Game viewing is conducted by 4x4 vehicle in the National Park, and by boat on the Chobe River.
