Beho Beho

Perched on the lower slopes of Namikwera Hill in the northern sector of the Selous Game Reserve, Beho Beho offers panoramic views over the Rufiji River floodplain. The 8 very spacious bandas of stone and thatch are furnished with king-sized beds, Zanzibari day beds, writing desks and comfortable ‘suite’ furniture. The front of the banda is totally open and extends onto a spacious verandah. Each cottage has a separate dressing room leading into an en suite bathroom with twin basins, WC and an open air shower. The main area is furnished in the style of a private house with comfortable seating and dining areas, a billiards table, the ‘Eagle’s Nest’ for private dining and lots of cosy nooks. Meals are not confined to the formal dining area - there are several lookouts where breakfast and lunch are served and areas for dining under the stars. The swimming pool has magnificent views along the Kipalala Valley. Safari options include game drives, walks and boating on Lake Tagalala with its amazing birdlife. The camp is 3 miles from the grave of Frederick Courteney Selous. Beho Beho is closed for 01 April to 15 June each year and is not suitable for children under 12.
