Gibbs Farm has evolved into a charming lodge that has retained the atmosphere of a working farm and the mystique of an era. In our exotic location on the outer slopes of an extinct volcano, we command huge views of the surrounding farmlands. Whilst at our back, the forested slopes are home to an abundance of wildlife, including elephant and leopard. The atmosphere at Gibbs Farm is soothing and having run it as a retreat for decades, we know the difference between helping and intruding. Settling in here is as natural as the surroundings. Reggie, is our resident chef and with the help of the farm gardens, conjures up a wealth of healthy dishes – morning, noon and night. As a working farm, Gibbs produces most of the food you will enjoy during your stay with us, providing the elephants don’t get it first. From a full “English style” breakfast and a cold buffet lunch of incredible variety, to a cosy five course dinner in the warmth of the old farmhouse. Meal times are always a delight. It might seem strange that as an old African coffee plantation, we haven’t mentioned the coffee! As we cant get across the incredible aroma of our farm roasting that filters through the gardens, you will just have to come here and try it yourself.
