Lazy Lagoon Island

Lazy Lagoon Island lies in the Zanzibar Channel 2 kms offshore from mainland Bagamoyo, and is reached by road from Dar es Salaam, a trip of just under an hour. Not only can it boast 9 kms of deserted beach, but it is also a natural reserve home to many small mammals. Rooms are large and airy with wide shaded verandas. Watch the local fishing fleet move slowly out to sea, snorkel over coral reefs, kayak on the lagoon, sail on the ocean breeze, walk the nature trail, visit historical sites, or just soak up the sun.
