Mwagusi Safari Camp
Over 480 species of bird and over 80 species of animals can be found within 45 minutes drive from the camp. These include lion, leopard, cheetah, hunting dog, lesser and greater kudu, sable and roan antelope, hippo and crocodile, huge herds of buffalo and large concentrations of elephant. Ruaha is Africa as it was centuries ago, yet with all the comfort that today’s traveller expects. Deep inside the park nestled into the banks of the Mwagusi Sand River, lies a small “old style” 16-bed safari camp, run by Chris Fox and his enthusiastic team of staff. Guests arrive at camp after a short 2 hour flight from Dar es Salaam, and 20 minutes game drive from the airstrip. Tents are enclosed within thatched “bandas” in keeping with traditional African style … each with ”en suite” bathroom and hot shower. Experience quality wildlife viewing, without the disturbance of the other vehicles, or walking, accompanied by an armed ranger and an experienced guide.
