The Outpost Hotel
A true 'home from home' the OutPost offers clean and comfortable board and lodging in Arusha. The OutPost has long been synonymous with the safari industry within Tanzania and a large portion of visitor's set off on their adventure of a lifetime from here.
Set in spacious grounds shaded by banana trees the OutPost has a total of 19 rooms. The main house has one single and 2 triples with shared bathroom facilities as well as a dormitory that sleeps five - ideal for student groups and families. The garden chalets (15 in total) are a mixture of doubles, twins and triples all with en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have mosquito nets. Telephone facilities are available in the office.
An open plan dinning cum lounge and bar area leads into spacious grounds. Breakfast and dinner is served from the large B.B.Q and buffet area, with a choice of soup, main course, salads and desserts or mouth watering T-bone steaks grilled to perfection. During the day a comprehensive snack menu offers a good choice of meals which you can also order from in the evening if the set meal doesn't take your fancy. Over head satellite television keeps you in touch with the outside world but most residents are usually too busy chatting and making new friends. You'll learn more about Tanzania here than from any travel guide book! Internet/e-mail facilities are available at the reception area.
Security is always on the travelers mind and the feeling of security here is a deciphering factor for choosing the Outpost. Its not often that africantravelreview.com gets a chance to write about a product so positively but in this case it came naturally!
