Silver Sands Beach Resort
Four hundred metres of beach and no neighbours. The East Coast of Tanzania has the most spectacular beaches in Africa – unspoiled and undiscovered. 25 km north of Dar es Salaam and opposite the Marine Conservation Area of Mbudya, Pangavini and Bongoyo Islands you will find Silver Sands Beach Resort.
In 1998, two influential South African businessmen acquired the hotel under a management agreement. Their vision: - "to create an affordable beach resort within easy access of Dar es Salaam and to offer guests gourmet food and comfortable accommodation in a spectacular setting”. They achieved this. A refurbishment programme was the first task undertaken and the hotel now boasts 5 two-room air-conditioned Suites, 14 air-conditioned Deluxe rooms, 12 Standard rooms with ceiling fans - all with en-suite facilities.
The open-air thatch roof restaurant is set on the beach and complete with beach sand floor offers guests delicious traditional and cosmopolitan meals. The bar has developed drinks you'll not see outside Tanzania.
