Start your safari adventure with a flight from Maun to your first Camp in the Moremi Game Reserve - Xakanaxa Camp. After a few days of game drives in open Safari vehicles to view the Big Five, you are transferred by boat to the Okavango Delta, to enjoy a couple of days in this unique area.
Spend time on Mokoro Safaris, Boat Trips and Game drives , before returning to Maun.
ITINERARY AT A GLANCE
Day 1 Maun - Moremi Game Reserve [ Xakanaxa Camp ]
On arrival at Maun Airport in Botswana, you will be transferred by Moremi Air on a light aircraft to the luxurious Xakanaxa Camp - where you will spend the following two nights.
Xakanaxa is located in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, rated as one of Africa’s most beautiful game reserves, offering sanctuary to abundant herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lechwe, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, sable antelope and much, much more. Lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena complete the picture.
Towering riverine forests, open savannah, seasonal floodplains, permanent lagoons, rivers and the intricate channels of the Okavango Delta surround the camp.
The Moremi Reserve is rated as one of Africa’s finest game-viewing areas, offering sanctuary to abundant herds of elephant, sable, giraffe, tsessebe, lechwe, wildebeest, impala and waterbuck. Lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena complete the picture.

Day 2 On Safari at Xakanaxa Camp
Daily camp activities follow a rhythmic pattern in harmony with nature. Generally guests enjoy a light breakfast of coffee, tea, fruit juices, cereals, muffins and fresh fruit just before dawn and then set off on extensive safari drives, boat or mokoro outings.
Upon returning to camp three or four hours later, its time for a scrumptious brunch, including a selection of breakfast and lunch dishes.
A siesta is followed by high tea before guests set off again on a safari activity that returns to camp approximately half an hour after sunset. A chance to freshen up is followed by pre-dinner cocktails and snacks, dinner and coffee and liqueurs on the fire-deck.

Day 3 Transfer from Xakanaxa Camp to Kwara
Enjoy an early morning game activity, before enjoying a scenic boat transfer on the waterways of the Okavango Delta, to your next safari camp destination - Kwara Camp.
This well known camp is set overlooking a secluded lagoon in the northern Okavango Delta. This region offers a contrasting experience, as its location allows access to the permanent waterways of the Delta as well as expansive dry land areas, admired for their quality game viewing.
Absorb the sounds of the bush, and set off for a late afternoon game or bird watching activity, before returning to your camp for a hearty dinner under the African Stars.
OVERNIGHT: KWARA CAMP - Fully inclusive of all meals and game activities
Day 4 Safari at Kwara Camp - Okavango Delta
Spend the day exploring the water ways of the Okavango Delta - either Mokoro Safaris in dug out canoes, or perhaps a boat cruise through the water ways.
Game drives or nature walks - a day full of exciting activities.
Fishing is also offered at Kwara. The Okavango is recognised as an excellent fishing destination for both fly fishing and traditional spin fishing. However, not many people are aware of the amazing fishing that can also be experienced on the Kwando River.
Due to government regulations, fishing is not possible during the months of January and February as this is a closed season.
