South Africa Safaris and Tours

Operated on the privately owned Nakavango Estate about 10km’s from Victoria Falls. The estate is not fenced allowing free movement of game from the National Park.

Three different Elephant Back Safaris are available:

Sunrise Safari (all year) – includes a full English breakfast Pick up: 06h30/07h00 Drop off: 11h30/12h00
Sundown Safari ( all year) – snacks provided Pick up: 15h00 /16h30 Drop off: 18h30/19h00
Siesta Safari (May to September) – includes lunch Pick up: 11h00/11h30 Drop off: 14h30/15h00

Age: Minimum age of 10 years. Under 18’s to be accompanied by an adult

Transfer time from Victoria Falls is approx. 15 minutes and the Elephant Co. collects from all major Victoria Falls Lodges and Hotels. Upon arrival, the guide will give an introductory talk on African elephants and their relationship with man. Following the talk (which includes safety), guests are introduced to the elephants and their “Indunas”. After a short familiarization with the elephants, guests will begin their elephant back safari through the bush. Bottled water is available during the ride, which is approx. one and a half to two hours in duration.

An experienced guide accompanies guests on the elephant.

Hand held radios are used to keep in touch with the main office. Videos, photographs and digital discs are available for sale after your safari.

VICTORIA FALLS HELICOPTER “ FLIGHT OF ANGELS “

The helipad is centrally situated just before the Elephant Hills Hotel, about 3 kms from the centre of Victoria Falls town.

Flights every 15/30 minutes from 09h00 to 12h30 and from 14h00 to 17h00 – 7 days a week.

Helicopters:	Bell 206 B111 Jetranger – 4 passengers
	Bell 206 L111 Longranger – 6 passengers

Two Helicopter flight options are available:

The Flight of Angels ( 12 – 13 minutes ) – Min 2 passengers
1.5 min flight to the Falls, 7.5 min over the Falls.
1.5 left hand circuits & 1.5 right hand circuits over the Falls
Short flight up-river and return to helipad over the Zambezi National Park for approx. 4 minutes
The Helicopter Game Veiwing Flight ( 30 minutes ) – min 3 passengers
1.5 min flight to the Falls, 6.5 min over the Falls
1 left hand circuit & 1 right hand circuit over the Falls
Flight up river and over the Zambezi National Park where the pilot will attempt to locate game. Game viewing lasts approx. 22 minutes. Morning and afternoon game flights are usually the most productive.

Collections are from all major lodges and hotels in Victoria Falls 30 minutes before your flight.

Please note: Each helicopter has a middle seat and there is no guarantee of a window seat. Window seats may not be booked and are available on a first come first serve basis.

SUNDOWNER CRUISE ON ZAMBEZI RIVER

The Zambezi River is the central figure in many of the activities offered in Vic Falls. The most renowned of these activities is without a doubt the Sundowner Cruise. This activity is inclusive of transfers, drinks and snacks.

There is something magical about relaxing on the water, sipping on a drinks and waiting for the sun to set. This area provides for most memorable sunsets and fantastic photographic opportunities. Game is often encountered on the cruises, including Elephant and Hippo.

There is also the option of Breakfast & Lunch cruises.

GUIDED TOUR OF THE FALLS

One cannot travel to Victoria Falls without going to see the Falls themselves up close. Taking a guided tour of the Falls will allow you to witness the power and splendour from close quarters. The guides will provide you with interesting facts about geography and history of the Falls. All guided tours include transfers and park entry fees.

FULL DAY CHOBE EXCURSION

A Chobe Day trip is great for those wanting a quality game experience while staying in Victoria Falls.
Transfers depart the hotel at approx. 07h30 and take you into the Chobe National Park ( 1 hr 30 mins ).
The morning will be spent cruising on the Chobe River, viewing game and abundant bird life.
Lunch is served at the end of the cruise. After lunch, you depart into the National Park in game drive vehicles and spend the afternoon looking for game.
Transfers back to Victoria Falls arrive at about 17h30
